The author examines the various features of Islamic art and architecture across 19 of the most prominent mosques worldwide and also the elements of Islamic art and architecture at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. In addition, the book also sheds light on the esthetic dimensions of the Jami’ Masjid “congregational mosque “and reviews the evolution of the Arabic and Islamic architectural styles of mosques throughout the history of Islamic architecture.
