Service Description

Through this service, you can submit a media request through the electronic services portal via the website or smartphone application SZGMC related to any of the following landmarks: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Abu Dhabi / Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Fujairah / Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Mosque - Al Ain / Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Ras Al Khaimah for the following purposes :

  1. Photography / Videography / coverage / interviews (visual / audio /print).
  2. Request Media Material: ( visual / audio / factual)

Service Steps

  1. The customer logs into the electronic services portal through the Centre’s website or smartphone application
  2. The customer submits the electronic media request application form.
  3. The Centre receives the request, review it, and carries out the request procedures.
  4. The Centre sends an e-mail and a text message to notify the customer about the application status.
  5. If the request is approved, the Centre sends an e-mail and a text message to the customer to set the visit date.
  6. The customer logs in to the electronic services portal through the Centre’s website or the smartphone application to set an appointment.
  7. The Centre sends an e-mail and a text message to the customer to confirm the date of the visit
  8. On the selected date, the customer arrives at the location and is accompanied by a representative from the media and publication section at the Centre.
  9. The customer logs into the electronic services portal through the Centre’s website or the smartphone application to upload the final content for approval.
  10. The Centre updates the customer about the content approval status via e-mail and a text message.
  11. The Centre informs the customer that the application has been closed via e-mail and a text message.

Service Standards

The service targets government entities, institutions, private sectors, academic institutions, influencers, and individuals who seek to submit a media request for the following purposes:

  1. Photography / Videography / coverage / interviews (visual / audio /print).
  2. Request Media Material: ( visual / audio / factual) at one of the following landmarks:
    Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Abu Dhabi / Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Fujairah / Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Mosque - Al Ain / Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Ras Al Khaimah.
Conditions for obtaining the service:
  • The private sector and influencers must obtain a valid ground/aerial photography permit issued by the Media Regulatory Office.
  • All government entities, institutions, private sectors, individuals, influencers, and others who intend to use a drone at the mosque for media purposes must obtain a valid photography permit issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
  • Customers must complete the requirements for obtaining the service within the specified period to avoid canceling a request.
  • To avoid canceling the request, customers must follow the instructions and requirements sent to them while the request is under process.
Service Limitation:
  • Media request services are limited to government entities and institutions, private sectors, influencers, academic institutions, individuals, and others who intend to use media materials for promotional or commercial purposes.
  • Individuals and others who only intend to use media materials for personal purposes and not for promotional or commercial purposes are exempted from obtaining a media permit from the Centre.
The time required to obtain the service:

14 working days-From the application receipt date.

Service Requirements and Fees

Required Documents :
  • An official letter addressed to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.
  • A valid ground/aerial photography permit issued by the Media Regulatory Office.
  • A valid Media Regulatory Office Influencers Permit
  • A Letter of Assignment (if outsourced).
  • A valid copy of the General Civil Aviation Authority Permit if the entity intends to use a drone.
Notes:

The customer shall :

  • Commit to the purpose of filming/photography, as stated in the application form, and for which the filming/photography the permit was issued.
  • Refrain from portraying The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre / Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in a manner that may be deemed offensive or that may contradict the values and principles of Islam or the ethical values of the UAE.
  • Respect the sanctity of the place and take it into account, always, during all promotions or display of the filmed/photographed content. Any association involving political, religious, social, or other subject-matter deemed counter to the Centre’s mission or the United Arab Emirates laws is prohibited, and in the event of the use of the media coverage and/or content in any manner that either contradicts the Centre’s mission or values that call for coexistence and tolerance amongst various faiths, or the state law and practice and disrespects the sanctity of the mosque; SZGMC reserves the right to carry out all legal actions, in accordance with the United Arab Emirates laws.
  • Obtain the Centre’s written consent in the event of using the content for commercial or promotional purposes.
